    BIA's Construction Safety & Injury Prevention (CSIP) Program is available statewide to address construction safety and health hazards, targeting workers, safety staff, managers, and owners.

    The CSIP Program addresses the HIOSH State and Federal Construction standards compliance, in particular regarding the injury prevention, with the goal of improving workplace safety and health through the management of occupational safety and health standards, by helping Hawaii's construction businesses train workers, safety staff, and employers in safety and injury prevention. 

    This course provides Workers, including general contractors, subcontractors, trade workers, and employees; as well as those who are out of work, those who are new to the industry, and employees; with the tools and resources to effectively handle workplace responsibilities as it related to safety, including hazard identification and control. Participants will be provided robust information on Worker Rights and Anti-Retaliation, ensuring Workers can work safety and report hazards without fear of retribution.

    • Hazard Recognition Plan and Hazard Control
    • Personal Protective Equipment
    • PPE Assessment Development
    • Employer Responsibilities & Disciplinary Policy
    • Worker Rights and Anti-Retaliation
    Training in Tagalog, Ilocano, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, and English.
