Aloha Members,

With your help, Bill 48 CD2, the zone change application for Koa Ridge, passed out of the second and final committee hearing last week with a vote of 5-0, two of which were "with reservations." Several concessions and housekeeping language modifications were agreed to, but the most significant aspects of the unilateral agreement remained intact, including the affordable housing requirement per existing City ordinance.

Bill 48 CD2 will now go before the full City Council for its third and final reading on Wednesday, November 13. We continue to ask for your support, especially at this final public hearing.

Please express your support to Council Chair Ernie Martin at emartin@honolulu.gov. If you are able to be at City Hall in person, that would be great as well. The hearing notice has not yet gone out, but it will likely be on the 9:00 am agenda.

We support Koa Ridge because it will provide much needed housing for Oahu residents, in all price ranges, including affordable housing, short- and long-term jobs, much needed infrastructure and public facilities, and just a great community, as evidenced by the existing communities of Mililani and Mililani Mauka.

Thank you for your continued support!
