About the Presenter

Curt Kiriu has been in the construction industry for 27+ years and has been a licensed general contractor for the past 7 years. He proudly earned his NAHB Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist designation in 2008, from the BIA of Washington in Vancouver, Washington. As a licensed CAPS General Contractor, he has been designing and building various barrier free accessible residential projects (bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchens etc…) since 2009. He is very passionate about CAPS and speaks to everyone he meets about CAPS, and what the designation represents; because the majority of the population has no idea what CAPS is so unless we inform them they will probably never know. His daily goal is to share the continuous amount of information there is in the Aging-In-Place and Universal Design industry. His long term goal is for CAPS to be common knowledge, not only to those in the construction industry but to other professional, state and city government; but most importantly the general public.
